You literally can do just about anything to your hair these days. Length? No problem. Volume? Duh! Bangs? Three snaps and you are out the door!

The technology has been around for a bit. It first surfaced in the African American wig and hair extension stores. As with most things it takes a celebrity to "find" it and make it popular.

Clips are sewn onto a triangle base of hair that is then clipped to the front of your own hair. Sound simple right? Well, such is not the case. To get the bangs to look real there are several things that need to be done.

5 Rules to Fake it Fabulously.

1. Use a good brand. We recommend Hairdo Bangs and easihair's easibangs. You have recommendation of your own? Please leave us your comments.

2. Was and dry it. Actually round brush it. This will help create the natural upward movement of your own hair. Often times, fake bangs look a little flat and wiggy if you don't do this.

3. Have your stylist cut them. It will cost @ $20 bucks and is worth every penny. That way you don't look like your 3rd grade school pic!

4. Get a good color match.

5. Wear them in the evening. These pieces are for fun and sometimes the light of day may disclose your secret.
