Lindsay Lohan is an international start that has acted in films and enjoyed a fairly successful music career.

The actress was born Lindsay Dee Lohan on July 2, 1986 in New York City to Michael and Dina Lohan. As a young child, Lindsay was a model at the Eileen Ford Agency. The beginning of her career featured commercials for The Gap, Pizza Hut and Wendy’s. In 1996, Lindsay made her television debut as Ali Fowler the day time soap Another World (1964). After her debut, Lindsay was chosen by writer Nancy Meyers to star in the remake of A Parent Trap (1998). The film was fairly successful and earned Lindsay widespread exposure and acclaim for her performance.

After The Parent Trap, Lindsay signed a deal with Disney for an additional three movies. She starred in various TV movies such as Life-Size (2000) and Get a Clue (2002).

In June of 2001, Lindsay decided to launch her music career and take a break from acting. She signed on for a five album production deal with Estefan Enterprises and signed a recording contract with Casablanca records. While still focusing on her music career, Lindsay returned to acting and starred in Freaky Friday (2003), another Disney remake. The film was a success and earned Lindsay more praise from critics as well as an MTV Movie Award for Best Breakthrough Female. The role also earned her a Saturn Nomination.

Adding more films under her belt such as Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen (2004) and the film Mean Girls (2004), Lindsay became a much sought after actress.

In 2004, Lindsay also released her debut album entitled Speak, which proved to be moderately successful. Lindsay has also released her own line of leggings in the fashion industry and recently had an acting role in the film Machete (2010).

Known as a signature red head, Lindsay has often worn her hair in the same long, straight and parted down the middle style. Her hair color has fluctuated between her natural red color and blonde, and, occasionally veering into the gothic black sphere – seemingly, depending on her state of mind and current relationship status.
