Jessica Ann Simpson was born July 10, 1980, in Abilene Texas to Joe and Tina Simpson. She grew up in Richardson, Texas, living a normal childhood as the daughter of a youth minister. In church, she was able to shine, using her gifted voice to attract an independent record producer. This producer was the first of many to see the potential for greatness.

Growing up, Jessica's father was a youth minister and church was a large influence on her young life. While at church, she sang often and eventually caught the eye of an independent record producer. While her first record label eventually went bankrupt due to lack of finances, Jessica remained determined in her quest to be on the radio.

Her father began managing her professionally and eventually the efforts Jessica's former record label and father managed to get the attention of Tommy Mottola, the President of Columbia Records. Columbia records signed Jessica and under their guidance her career flourished.

After taking the music world by storm, Jessica set her sights on transitioning into television in film. She married Nick Lachey and the two debuted a show on MTV entitled Newlyweds: Nick & Jessica (2003). After the show and her marriage eventually ended, Jessica went on to star in films such as The Dukes of Hazzard (2005). With her magnetic personality and obvious talent, Jessica remains involved in the entertainment industry and is sure to have a long, lasting career ahead of her.

With her signature blonde locks, Jessica often wears her hair long. Occasionally she wears her hair in a sleek blonde bob. Her signature hair led Jessica and her friend Ken Paves to create a line of easy to attach hair extensions that she often wore to add volume to her hair.
