How Much is Your Weave?

This is a great clip about Chris Rock’s documentary Good Hair. He goes into how much hair extensions cost African American women.
I thought the answers were kind of vague and well not applicable to all women. I want to know your story. Every women who wears extensions has as story.
I thought it would make a great blog post to know what other people are paying for their hair extensions and their general experience.
At my salon we run a very unique set up. Clients know exactly how much the hair costs, the application and maintenance. In other salons, there is a veil of secrecy that surrounds the cost of hair extensions. Most places you have to book out an appointment so they can discuss the cost.
A common misconception is that hair extensions are either really cheap and awful or so expensive the everyday women cannot afford them.
This post will be used to write a bigger article about the varying costs and experiences associated with getting hair extensions.
