Aircurler | Hair Extension Gadgets

The Houston Image Expo was the hair show to be at to see all the latest and greatest hair gadgets hitting the market. It is a rare occasion to track down so many innovative products all at one show.

My first impression of the airculer, “ what in the world?”.

It looks like space age hairdryer from the set of a future based movie. Jennifer Pompa and I made our way into the booth and asked for the head lady in charge. This turned out be Adriana Born, Presided of aircurler.

“Adrianna, what are you doing to these ladies hair,” I said.

Turns out it is a unique attachment for your hairdryer that allows you to not only dry your hair but also curl it at the same time. The technology was based on a NASA funded project.

So I WAS right.. It is space age technology!!

Jennifer Pompa, always the willing victim, um, I mean volunteer popped in Adrianna’s chair. She went to work with intention and know how. I pressed record on the camera and let her work her magic.

Apparently, the idea for the aircurler came from having bad hair. Haha, Adrianna was a cool chick.

The aircurler cupped Jennifer’s hair and by hair I mean hair extensions. No yanking or pulling. Just a gentle twisting of the hair via the power of the blowdryer. Adrianna heated the hair first and then used the cool shot to seal the curl in.

I must say that it did indeed work. You could most definitely see a smooth curl pattern in Jennifer’s hair. This is some cool stuff.

The aircurler would be a great way to style your hair extensions faster. Blow dry the root of your hair and get the rest damp dry. It would be a snap to finish off the look with the aircurler for the ends of the hair. Jennifer and I theorize this could save you some time and help the wear and tear on hair extensions.

Jennifer is planning on nabbing an aircurler so we can do some “Official Geek Studies” on this device. More details coming soon.
