Halo Couture Hair Extensions | Interview with Tina Owens/CEO

My favorite part of a hair show is getting to see all the new stuff hitting the beauty market. I had the opportunity to attend the Houston Image Expo. A small show but well put together. Sometimes the smaller hair shows can be more fun and you can get a more hands on minute with owners of all kinds of brands.

Jennifer Pompa and I had the opportunity to meet Tina Owens, the owner/ceo of Halo Couture Extensions. Tina gave us the run down on how these unique hair extensions work. Check out the video above for a guided tour by Tina herself.

The name is great because it describes exactly where the hair extension is attached. Halo Couture Extensions are not attached using traditional clips. They are secured using a monofilament string attached to wefted base. This allows you to place the extensions on the top of your head and pull hair over it to cover the attachment.

Traditional clip in extensions are great, however, they were never intended to be worn everyday. Clip in extensions are advertised to be “damage free” but any experienced extension wearer knows that the friction and pulling caused from putting them in, wearing them, and then removing can cause breakage. In some cases it can even lead to traction alopecia.

Halo Couture allows you the ability to wear your extensions as much as you like without fear of damage. The monofilament string rests on the top of your head and your own hair that is parted over it acts as an anchor.
